It's the 13th of December..

Well, obviously it is. And since my start of my Sophomore life in MARISCI, I learned a lot. A hell lot. O.o There's so much that I learned that I don't know where to start! xD oh well. Let's start with...

THE MAIN CAMPUS
+ is much nearer to home and is found alongside Marikina Polytechnic College (MPC). MARISCI was once part of this  and then had to be separated as a new high school. This high school shares the whole piece of free land and Ilagan hall with the college campus.
+ is filled with trees and a grassy part of  the area is used mostly for MAPEH II & III. It is enclosed in an area, giving more fresh air than in the Annex campus.
+ Sophomores and Juniors are the year levels that stay in this campus while the Freshmen and Seniors in the Annex. In the first few years of MARISCI, all year levels were entitled to study in the Main campus until the faculty and staff felt the need to add the Annex for the growing population of students.
+ as of 2009, the Main campus has two Biology & Chemistry rooms, a TLE II room, a library, three Computer rooms and a clinic.

THE CURRICULUM (SOPHOMORES ONLY)
+ for major subjects, the passing grade would be 83. Unlike in other Science HS, their maintenance grade for these subjects are 85.
+ for minor subjects, the passing grade is 80.
+ yet if you fail to have an average of around 83% for each subject, you will be transferred to another school which suits your knowledge.
+ The major subjects (with ">"; "-"are divisions of which) include the following:

>Natural Science II
-Biology I
-(Elective) Environmental Science

>Mathematics II
-Intermediate Algebra
-Elective Mathematics
-Plane Geometry

>English II
-English II
-Research I (Basic Methods Of Research)

-Filipino II (Florante at Laura)
-Social Studies II (Asian History and Culture)

-Computer II (Excel and Visual Basic)

-MAPEH II
-Music II
-Technology and Livelihood Education II (TLE II)

-Religion II (Catholic/ Christian)

Yeah, I know. It's a hard life. Yet, life would always get easier afterwards. ^^

Hello my beloved readers!

I haven't been updating my blog yes, and I apologize about it. I'm really sorry.

Anyway.. I don't have a topic yet. xD hmmnn... How about My Chemical Romance? Okay, I'll be about MCR.

My Chemical Romance is a rock band from New Jersey, USA. Formed by Gerard Way as frontman of the band just for fun and to send a message. A message calling for hope.

The band members are the frontman himself, Michael "Mikey" Way (Gee's brother), Ray Toro, Frank Iero (it's the letter 'i' not L.) and Bob Bryar. Their duties are vocals, bass guitars, lead guitars, rhythm guitars and drums respectively.

Their first mainstream album is "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love." It was in the era when they saw the 9/11 attacks and Gee wanted to make a difference. "Skylines and Turnstiles" was their fist single off of the album and focuses about the attacks he have seen as a cartoonist.

They were truly discovered by the world with their second album "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge." The songs with their first vids are "Helena", "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)", and "The Ghost Of You." The whole album revolves around a couple were someone killed the girl and the guy wants his revenge for her. Hence the name of the album.

They had so much ideas and plans to do but they were saved for later. Then their plans came to be and are back as "The Black Parade." Many fans were confused because they were used to know them as My Chemical Romance and created an uproar about the band who was going to perform. But then they realized that this is just a pseudonym and it was MCR that was going to perform. "The Black Parade" has one of the most popular songs namely, "Welcome to the Black Parade", "Famous Last Words", "I Don't Love You" and "Teenagers."

They were also known for other singles such as their version of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and "Under Pressure." They were exceptionally known by their unusual antics like mine... xD hahaha.... Their love for coffee and Guitar Hero is really profound. Gee draws for his own comic book named "The Umbrella Academy." It is about people who have special powers just to save and help others.

Such awesome people. ^_^

"She's Out Of My Life..

..She's out of my life
She's out of my life
And I don't know whether to laugh or cry
I don't know whether to live or die
And it cuts like a knife
She's out of my life.."

Eii, guys, sorry for not making a new blog last June.. Been busy with school and stuff. Still busy, yet I found some time to make this 'cuz I'm awesome. ^^ Haha, no offense but I like to brag like that once in a while. =))

Soo.. you're wondering what that song is, eh?? Well, it is "She's Out Of My Life" by the one and only King of Pop, Michael Jackson. He's a great and talented person but problem is that he got addicted to painkillers. He just died this June 25, which was horrible news, not only for me, but also to his avid and supportive fans.

Another span of news is that our Former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino died this August 1. I just woke up then and turned the television on. I flicked it to some other channels before going to our local news channel. There it wrote: Former Pres. Cory Aquino died at 3:18 AM. I felt a complete mix of feelings.. Anguish, sadness, pity. Many of her followers and normal citizens joined in while bringing her coffin to the Manila Memorial Park. I saw their great devotion as one said, "Mas marami pang nagawa si Tita Cory kaya ito ang talagang maaari kong gawin para ibalik ang kanyang debusyon sa bansa at mamayan." I felt sad that I wasn't able to join the procession due to the fact that I was also sick with a cold and headaches.

This song is particularly about losing someone and him or her leaving you forever.. And of what I understand, is the most painful experience anyone can imagine. Losing someone you love truly hurts. And if you value her so much, you might not even want to live too. You'd feel hurt and hopeless, because she's the source of your self-esteem and happiness. Not happiness as in, well, you know. But the happiness that makes you smile when you cry, the thing that makes your life more meaningful, the happiness that makes you want to live another day for her and yourself.

If you have felt this, and is reading this blog right now, I'd like you to let out all of your feelings right now. Remember everything, all your memories and experiences, no matter how little. I wand you to remember your love for them and cherish the things that you have learned from them.  But if you can't or do not wish to, it's okay. If you did or did not, I guess you can just move on with your life. I'm not saying that you should forget them, but to live your life since it's not good being stuck in the past. You've gotta move on, with your love for them, no matter far away.

"When I'm with you..

..I'll make every second count 'cause I miss you
Whenever you're not around
When I kiss you, I still get the butterflies
Years from now, I'll make every second count
When I'm with you.."

Yes, At last! A new blog for June!! ^^ Okay, the song title is "When I'm With You" by Faber Drive. Truthfully speaking, its the first time in my life to hear about this band. Probably because they're buried under the popularity of other bands such as Lifehouse. Or maybe, its just me. =)) I heard of this band through Alesis, my friend and classmate at II- Nereid. (also known as II- C or II- Nerd if you're having trouble in the pronunciation. Whahahaha!!)

Hmm.. The song meaning in real life? Well the main idea would most likely be missing someone you love.

Yes, guys and gals.. A relationship.

Now, don't deny it! It's so apparent in the lyrics, not to mention a part of life. Missing someone is natural especially if you love him/ her very much. And we almost always make promises if we meet our loved ones to make the following moments more special. Others call it 'cheesiness' yet everyone will experience it in some point of their lives.

Promises. Some people who are sick with love and hate life say its just a bunch of words. But promises are always in our lives. True. They may hurt your feelings at times. Especially those that are broken. For example, if you're promised for a date with a hot guy, he might say he'd be "busy". (wtf! busy with WHOM?!)

You can't avoid to make promises. Yeah. I think on average, a person makes at least five promises in three days. But I'm not sure about that. It's just based on my experience. =3

I promise I'd make another blog this June!

Take care guys ^^

"Imperial March"

Well, this is one of the rare times that I don't use a song to start my blog. I guess I'm used to use songs like that.. haha! Anyway, This one is the only one so far I've posted without lyrics. xD hmm.. let me see.. This is performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. Especially for the best movie saga. Star Wars.

You'd never think that I am a geek for Star Wars.. lol yeah but it is true. I love the saga and proud of it. ^^ I think it would be so cool to have an X-wing in your backyard.. =D (or head, my cousin said. ey, that rhymes!! See?! head, said?) I like to surprise people that I like that saga, after saying I'm into rock music. =))

Truth is, I'm associating this blog about Star Wars with a movie I've seen recently: Star Trek. (how predictable, he says.) And I'm going to describe the movie in my own standards. The effects are spectacular, and it wasn't dragging about (unlike, well, you know: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Too slow.) The characters look like what they should be and the actors perfectly. Although they tweaked some details. In short, I love the movie and I would like to look for the DVD. Done.

"When I was once untouchable..

..Innocence roared, still amazes
When I was once was innocent
It's still here, but in different places.."

Well, here I am. I woke up on a late April morning and enjoying it. Haha, I missed waking up late. Anyways, this song, as you probably had an unusual feeling about it, is made and sung by no other than Bjork. An Icelandic artist, she amazes me with good music even though it would be a little eerie to most music lovers. The title of the song is "Innocence". Actually, I never knew what the meaning of the song is, and don't ask me about what the other songs mean, since I don't really understand much. Nonetheless, I like her songs.

My own understanding of the song is that.. when you have fear, there is the split of feelings: being brave and scared. This fear, she realized was actually good. Especially with courage, beacuse if she would act, she'd have a feeling of bravery that it will turn out right, but there's the fear that it will go horribly worse. Worse than the situation had ever been. But she thought, "If I overcame fear.. I can do anything!" And she did act.. and succeeded. =)

~+~

Hmm... by the way, I found this cute site. It's called Vectorpark. I was just looking around a My Chemical Romance Fan Site then I sumbled upon this from one of their forums. Really cute, made exeptionally well and is also weird like Bjork. Haha! =))

At my first glance I thought, "What is this??" then I checked it out and I registered for their mailing list immediately! (Yes, they do have one!) Apparently, it is made from Adobe Flash Player 10 / Shockwave, and I'm really happy to see this. It follows most laws of physics but I'm not quite sure about the other laws.. you'll see.

And to those people who got squeamish from the blog that I posted on April Fool's, I warned you guys. ~_^ Haha, but this time, trust me. This is a site that isn't gonna scare you. It'll make you smile with it's cuteness.

Just click on the link below and explore the site.

You'll love it.

I promise!

"Throw it away.. (part 2)

..Forget yesterday,
We'll make the great escape,
We won't hear a word they say
They don't know us anyway.

Watch it burn,
Let it die..
'Cause we're finally free tonight!.."

This song is made by Boys Like Girls and yup, you guessed it, its from the song "The Great Escape". This is the continuation of one of my past blogs (the one about the right of freedom). Whahaha, its about time I've continued it, because it is now about freedom.. from school!

During summer vacation, students are given the time to relax and have fun from the safety of the school. We students would enjoy stress free days away from the tons of schoolwork and other students. It's the most awaited event for the school year! This is of course, after our Finals exam and our clearance (why is it that its just this High School I've heard about clearances?)

As one of the students with highest authority in the classroom (Peace Officer, for your info) I think I'm going to enjoy this. Well, I do have one really busy schedule you know, even though I'm a Freshman. But, I am going to miss my friends, classmates and this year's Sophomores. But the people that I would really miss are the Seniors. They've been really kind to us Frosh and they have been really supportive and encouraging. I hope the upcoming Seniors would be equally be helpful for the next Freshmen.

Of what I understand, we MARISCIans are going to have our summer break a little later than everyone else. Oh come on, I mean, its just April 2.

O,o

What?! April 2?!!

"And I’ll taste every moment...

.. And live it out loud
I know this is the time,
This is the time
To be more than a name
Or a face in the crowd
I know this is the time
This is the time of my life
Time of my life.. "

This song was sung by David Cook and the song title is "Time of My Life". As the title suggests, it is about living your life and having the best moment at that point. At the moment, I could relate to that because I have this experience to share with you. It is about my fist Sci-Camp to attend as a MARICIan here. It is mostly a trip - to Baguio! As a first timer, I was dreaming about what it felt like there, what it looked liked and how hard it was to live there. And so, I'll start the storytelling!

I learned from the preparation day that we would travel lightly but still have the items necessary for the trip. At the Main, I learned that we should be very very patient because we would get tired easily from waiting (9:30-11:00pm, which for excited Sci-campers, a forever!). And there also, you should know where and what to look for (your group for that matter) because you will be dealing with a sea of eager students. For me, I think that everyone was trying their best to keep everything in order. They also tried their best in organizing everyone for the bus loading. It wasn’t an easy job, but we all managed to go in our respective buses.

On the road, we started out with a prayer for a safe journey, hoping nothing would harm us during or drive. Most of us in the bus tried to sleep on the way. But some tried their best to stay awake to see what the roads were like. I slept a lot, waking up to a sign that says “Welcome to Baguio”. And I learned that the sleep would really benefit you for the upcoming events.

When we finally reached the Teacher’s Camp, we headed to Albert Hall (Mess Hall) for our much needed breakfast. I quickly learned that I would really need all the energy I could get because even in going to and fro the Halls were a tough job. Then, we lined up to get our snacks for the trip. Snacks are usually given after the main meals are served, providing you with something to satisfy your hunger during trips or activities. After that, we were to go to our Halls to check in, which placed our waiting skills to the test. The lobby was full of girls with their luggage waiting to sign in and pay the fee.

The climate in Baguio was totally different from Manila. Once you step out, you’ll feel the cold air fill in your lungs, which was really new to us. When you would wake up in the morning, you would shiver from the morning breeze from the window. Afternoons there weren’t as hot in Manila, where you would demand one cold shower afterward.

During tours were great because we were free to go down to a destination spot when we feel like it. We’d take pictures, buy stuff, and do whatever we were allowed to do. But oftentimes we have a time limit so that we would come back to camp on time for lunch. This time, you’d need the energy to perform the activities given to the groups. The activities let you understand more about Science and sharpen your mind on how to perform tasks with teamwork and cooperation with fun. I participated with most of the activities knowing that they’d benefit me. After all of them done, it’s off to dinner! But before you’d eat, you will face a very long fight of stairs (Albert Hall is on elevated ground) that you must climb.

On the afternoon of February 2 after lunch, we said goodbye to the Teacher’s camp. This time, we went home seeing the road we’ve passed (although some other paths we needed alternate routes...) and to pass the boredom, we sang in the ‘karaoke machine’ in the bus. Most of us were tired too, even though we just ate our lunch. Some people, those who were getting too bored of singing, tried to sleep the feeling away. Most of us, got headaches from the temperature and pressure differential in going down the zigzag roads of Baguio. I was one of those people who got sick and absented for three days after the trip.

The trip back home took about seven hours. It was one of the longest seven hours in our school days. But at that span of time, it made me ponder though the memories we have made during the camp. The way of the planning of the camp was good for me. It tested our skills in teamwork, cooperation, logical thinking, and physical strength. It also pushed our friendship bonds to the limits. Plus, I had fun in doing the activities and wandering around in Baguio was a blast! I would certainly join next year’s camp, providing I’d pass for sophomore year in MARISCI. =P

"Keep holding on..

.. 'Cause you know we'll make it though
We'll make it though
Just, stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you
I'm here for you.. "

This was sung by Avril Lavigne and the song's called "Keep Holding On". I picked this song because I could relate to it at the moment, especially if you're a student at MARISCI. I also chose this song because its cool :3 I could relate because it is about not losing an attitude that we rarely realize- hope.

Hope is an attitude that for some reason, we do not often have when problems arise. We, as ordinary people often forget that we should have hope when fighting against a problem such as failing marks at class, unemployment, financial problems, family problems and other things that could bug us everyday. Most people look at the dark side first (hey, that includes you and me!) before looking for a solution to solve the predicament. Actually, that is the plain truth. And as said by Pauline R. Kezer: "When you do nothing, you feel overwhelmed and powerless. But when you get involved, you feel the sense of hope and accomplishment that comes from knowing you are working to make things better.", we need to be involved so that we would feel that all is not lost. Getting involved makes the situation not only better, but also you feel (in some kind of way) happier and stronger for more pressing problems in your lifetime.

Let me share you an experience that I had.

I was already fed up with my group mates because they weren't doing what they were assigned to them. They were just sitting and talking, not getting involved in the project we were supposed to do. At the end of the meeting, I asked a friend on what to do. He told me a story instead. it went like this:

THE FOUR CANDLES

The four candles burn slowly. The ambiance was so soft you can hear them talking. The first one said: "I am PEACE! However, nobody can keep me lit. I believe I will go out." Its flame rapidly diminishes and goes out completely. The second one says: "I am FAITH! Most of all, I am no longer indispensable, so it doesn't make any sense that I stay lit any longer." When it finished talking, a breeze softly blew on it putting it out. Sadly, the third candle spoke in its turn: "I am LOVE! I haven't got the strength to stay lit. People put me aside and don't understand my importance. They even forget to love those who are nearest to them." And waiting no longer it goes out. Suddenly, a child enters the room and sees three candles not burning. "Why are you not burning? You are supposed to stay lit 'till the end." Saying this, the child begins to cry. Then, the fourth candle said: "Don't be afraid; while I am still burning, we can re-light the other candles because I am HOPE!" And with shining eyes, the child took the candle of Hope and lit the other candles.

My friend added, "Hope should never go out from your life and that each of us can maintain Hope, Faith Peace and Love!!" When he said that, I finally got the motivation to lead once again. This time, we achieved a grade of 93! =)

You see, we should never lose hope whatever happens. Take care, and see you!

"So if you're asking me, I want you to know..

.. When my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some reasons to be missed
Don't resent me, and when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory, leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest.. "

Let me see.. This song is sung by Linkin Park. The title of the song is "Leave Out The Rest". This song is the one that is infecting me with Last Song Syndrome (LSS). LSS is a condition wherein you cannot forget a certain song that is played recently. Normally it would be either annoying or appealing, depending on what song is played. In my case, its great! =)

Now, about our topic. It is going to be something that we are actually scared of. Oh come on, I'm not talking about school or a movie. Most importantly, I'm really not talking about school!! xD In reality, I'm talking about losing someone; namely death.

Death (according to Wikipedia) is the permanent termination of the biological functions that define a living organism. Death would also seem to either the moment at which life ends or the state that follows life. In either way, is to lose someone very dear to people. It is a natural phenomenon that will occur to us someday. Why don't we understand death that clearly? Many people still don't know why. Some people believe that death is not the end, but a start; for a new life. They call this 'reincarnation'; life after death.

People, as social beings, cannot accept death. The thought of them and their families to disappear sends chills down their spines. Truthfully, I'm scared too. But we need to cope it because it will certainly happen to all of us someday. What will happen if people did not die? The Earth then will crumble under the effects of the super population of humans; an imbalance in the ecosystem.

We will need to accept death. Its for the better for others and ourselves. To make it easier for us, lets say that death is a start for a new chapter in our life. A way for us to change and live our lives for the best.

"Tonight will change our lives.. (part 1)

..It's so good to be by your side
But we'll cry
We won't give up the fight

We'll scream loud at the top of our lungs
And they'll think it's just cause we're young
And we'll feel so alive.."

The name of the song is "The Great Escape" and the band who sang it was Boys Like Girls. I still like the band, since I go a little nuts about some songs. Especially that one. Tee hee! Hmm.. this time, (since that is the song I picked) this blog is going to be about our favorite right: the right of freedom, and freedom.. from school! xD

Truthfully, everyone has this particular right; the right of freedom. We exercise this right every day since we can: run around, read, play, eat, sleep, talk, and have fun! Our right of freedom is often used for us to get what we want too. After all, we live in a democratic country; a nation that is free. We are truly lucky to live in a free country, unlike some countries (I don't wanna enumerate anymore) that live on too much rules (especially of the government). We can do basically anything we want and need.

But..

That is also the most abused right that we have. Since we almost always say, "Malaya naman tayong bansa ah!" the things that we do may harm not only others, but ourselves too. There are things that are not meant to be done like cheating, stealing, and worse, killing. These evil deeds are supposed to be avoided because we would harm other people and hurt everyone who cares for us. Not only that, but also we are bound by rules of the community and of the Ten Commandments of God. That is why there are rules. Rules (and regulations) keep us and others safe and help us go to the right path. The path that is good and clean, not bad and bloodstained. That's why we need to exercise our right of freedom the way that will make our live special and meaningful to others.

Now... to be continued!!

"I've seen it all...

... I have seen the trees
I have seen the willow leaves dancing in the breeze

I've seen a man killed by his best friend
And lives that were over before they were spent

I've seen what I was and I know what I'll be
I've seen it all there is no more to see..."

That song is titled "I've Seen It All" courtesy of Radiohead and Bjork. Its a little unusual when you listen to it. Anyway, about the song.. I have seen those stuff in the lyrics; of course except the said murder xD whahaha..

There's something that I can't live without for a even a measly day. That would be my trusted friend, my glasses.

I got mine when I was grade six. Failing marks in my quizzes showed up, so I was made to visit the ophthalmologist. I hesitated a little, since I would look like a nerd (I also had braces for that matter >,<) But then, when I got them, I noticed something. It seems that it frames my eyes. I love it.

I needed to get used to the glasses really quickly because the next day was Monday. I don't want to go tumbling down the stairs and get stomped on by the mob of students running for class. Public humiliation was one of my worst nightmares. =))

After graduating from my elementary years, my next problem was this: High School!! xD

“Freshman. At a Science high school. I wonder what people look like. I guess there wouldn’t have much kids wearing glasses and braces at the same time.” That was one of the stuff wondering in my head a day before classes. I was wrong. There were students… many of ‘em… wearing glasses. And braces. ”Cool! I ain’t alone here.” I thought. “Hope I can make much friends.”

And I did. Close friends in fact. We enjoyed our time and made tight bonds. Went through troubles and triumphs, and even had fun!

Ei, gotta go clean my glasses. See ya!

"What day is it?

... And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive
I can't keep up and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time.. "

In this one, it is from the song "You and Me" by Lifehouse. They're one of my fave bands at the moment, and that's my top song from them. Why I chose this song? 'Cause it fits what I feel right now. I can't seem to keep pace with time.

Normally I find time so fast that I realize it’s already Friday. I experienced feeling it slow down or speed up, especially on the days before the Periodical Test. Even my classmates are aware of the phenomenon.

It is actually unusual that you’d feel time goes in different rates. Sometimes, you have so much to do, but lack the time to accomplish them all. Asar kami pag ganun. On the other hand, it’ll be so slow, bored na bored ka! Mas asar kami doon!

I wished once that the upcoming week’s time would be slow. Why? Because I was having so much fun at the Main campus! But in several cases, when time’s slow, I would experience deja vu. I would know something or a scene have happened. The last times I encountered that was when we students were at the MARISCI main. Especially when I go around and around the Marikina Polytechnic College (MPC) compund. Weird.

It's a Saturday, right?! xD

"I'm so sick..

... infected with where I live
Let me life without this
Empty bliss, selfishness
I'm so sick! "

That was the chorus for "I'm So Sick" by an alternative metal rock band named Flyleaf. Right now, I feel awful. And that song doesn't even help me feel better. Seriously.

I have a cold right now that's really awful. I got it last Tuesday I guess. It rained on that day, and I wasn't able to change my clothes at once. "Haay, buhay. Parang life." -quoted from Mrs. Rafaela Arlene V. Gupit; Elementary Algebra Teacher

The cold is accompanied by some coughs. Agh. Awful.

Bad thing is there is also the fact that my head hurts once in a while too. When will this stop?! Hopefully later. So I can go for tomorrow's meeting for Journalism (We're going to make a newspaper and I'm the sports writer since I am the only member who knows someone from the school paper (Shoeland); namely Ian). =]

I'm doing my best to take some rest. I am currently absent from school. It seems to be I'm a little better on the piano when my head hurts.. weird. If you're wondering why I blogged.. the reason is, I hope that my mom's okay in Palawan. :3

I really need to recover. Yeah. I need to.
